As a **Security Officer - Armed Patrol** in **Watsonville, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more . As an armed patrol officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. This armed post requires professionalism and a commitment to upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a caring and collaborative team. **Position Type: Full Time** **Pay Rate: $28.70 / Hour** **Job Schedule:** **Day** **Time** Mon08:15 AM - 06:15 PM Tue08:15 AM - 06:15 PM Wed08:15 AM - 06:15 PM Thur08:15 AM - 06:15 PM Fri08:15 AM - 06:15 PM **Responsibilities:** + Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate. + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. + Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity. + Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors. + Document and report any suspicious activities or incidents according to established protocols. + Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as needed during incidents. + Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points within the location. **Minimum Requirements:** + Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. + Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or license. + Must have a California Armed Security Professional License. + Must have a California Weapons Permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement. + Must have an Armed Designation as required by the state of California. + Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles. + Must acknowledge and comply with all firearms-related policies and procedures. + Must complete Firearms Annual Requalification Training, which can be completed post hire. + Must participate in Post Tag Armed Sidearm training, which can be completed post hire. + Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. **Perks and Benefits:** + Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positions + Schedules that fit with your personal life goals + Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities + Employee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues, and much more... **Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.** All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race/ethnicity, age, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, disability, protected veteran status, or any other basis protected by law.
