Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Flu Clinic team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with clinical standards and organizational policies. This position requires strong communication skills, a supportive attitude, and a collaborative approach to delivering flu vaccination services and general patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Uphold the organization’s policies, procedures, and principles of responsibility in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Demonstrate a professional and supportive demeanor in all interactions.
Embrace and promote new ideas and improvements in practice.
Use effective communication strategies, including appropriate chain of command and issue escalation, to achieve desired outcomes.
Participate in problem-solving and resolution of clinical and operational issues.
Provide mentorship and orientation to peers regarding clinical skills and professional behavior.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective problem resolution for patients.
Prioritize and delegate tasks appropriately to ensure timely completion of patient care responsibilities.
Adhere to all regulatory requirements, organizational policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice.
Nursing Process Responsibilities
Deliver patient care within the RN scope of practice, considering the age-specific needs of each patient.
Report unusual findings to supervising Registered Nurse and contribute recommendations for updates to the patient care plan.
Follow hospital standards and customize care based on the developmental and age-related needs of the population served.
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer literacy and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in outpatient or clinic settings, especially with vaccination programs.
Prior experience in a Flu Clinic or similar public health setting.
Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
Additional certifications relevant to public health or immunization (preferred)
