We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** As a Radiation Therapist, you'll provide direct patient care within the scope of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. You'll use therapeutic communication, maintain a safe environment, and identify patient needs, planning individualized care with an interdisciplinary approach. You'll also participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the hospital's mission and vision. **What you will do in this role:** + Assess patient status and their reaction to treatment daily, communicating concerns to the appropriate personnel. + Follow proper proceduresfor treatment field verification and approval. + Fabricate custom treatment devicesaccording to proper procedures. + Educate patients about radiation therapy treatment procedures. + Set up and accurately deliver patient treatment sbased on prescriptions and treatment plans. + Operate linear accelerators, simulators, CT, and other related equipment safely and effectively. **What qualifications you will need:** + Graduation from a school accredited in radiation therapy instruction. An Associate of Science (AS) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree is also acceptable. + Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (RT[T]). + One year of experience as a Radiation Therapist is preferred. TriStar Summit is a 230+ bed comprehensive facility. We serve Davidson, Wilson and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center. We offer a full array of acute care services. These include cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics/spine, rehabilitation and women's services. We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI. We are a Primary Stroke Center.
