**Job Summary and Responsibilities** **$5,000 sign-on bonus** **and** **$10,000 educational assistance available to external candidates!** + Greets patient utilizing AIDET, verifies patient in identification, reviews chart for proper radiation treatment parameters and physician prescriptions + Informs patients and families about the treatment process and answers questions + Prepares patients for treatment. Positions equipment according to plan + Takes portal films or IGRT scans to ensure treatment protocols are accurately set up and followed + Verifies proper dosage of ionizing radiation for patient as prescribed by physician + Administers treatment to patient + Monitors patient throughout treatment process by checking video monitors and intercom + Informs physician anytime patient experiences distress or side effects related to treatment process + Records each patients' treatment in EMR and proper notes for accurate treatment and set-up + Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the filed by reading appropriate journals, books, and other literature and attending related seminars, conferences and education opportunities + As directed by radiation oncologist, constructs immobilization devices, positions and marks patient during simulation + Work with staff in general scheduling, patient charging and order entry + Participates in scheduled chart round conferences and other quality meetings **Job Requirements** **Education** + Satisfactory completion of a JRCERT accredited Radiation Therapy Program **Licenses & Certifications** + ARRT (T) boards completion within in 6 month of hire + BLS from the American Heart Association required upon hire **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** + Knowledge of linear accelerators and record and verify systems + Ability to operate radiation therapy equipment + Ability to manage patients + Ability to follow oral and written instructions HelloImaging ImagingNebraska #MissionCritical \#LI-CHI **Where You'll Work** Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb.
