Seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality psychiatric care to individuals with intellectual disabilities, severe mental illness, and geriatric needs. The facility offers comprehensive, person-centered services with a focus on dignity, inclusion, and long-term well-being.
Position Overview:
This role involves leading a psychiatric treatment team and managing a caseload of approximately 45–50 individuals. Responsibilities include developing and monitoring individualized treatment plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, guiding clinical staff, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. The position requires a high level of autonomy and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements:
✔️ Current, unrestricted Texas medical license
✔️ Board eligible in psychiatry
✔️ DEA, NPI, and current CPR/BLS (AHA) certification
✔️ Must meet all facility compliance standards, including immunizations, negative PPD (within 12 months), drug screening, background check, and FBI fingerprinting
✔️ Strong documentation skills, including admission, quarterly/annual, and monthly summary notes
Schedule:
Flexible: Four 10-hour days (8 AM–6 PM) or five 8-hour days (8 AM–5 PM)
Some telework allowed
On-site presence required one full week per month
Participation in overnight call rotation with psychiatric team
