Job Summary

We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Pharmacy Technician. Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician assists in the preparation and distribution of medications, maintains drug inventory, and ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations. This role includes rotating assignments, shifts, and work across satellite areas as needed.

 

Job Description

• Prepare, receive, return, and deliver medications, carts, and supplies to various hospital areas.
• Operate and troubleshoot automated dispensing systems (e.g., Omnicell).
• Support sterile compounding and IV room operations (as trained/assigned).
• Accurately complete tasks with attention to detail and within specified timeframes.
• Rotate between assignments and shifts to meet departmental needs.

 

Skills Required

• At least one (1) year of inpatient pharmacy experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under time constraints.
• Experience with automated dispensing systems (Omnicell).
• Pharmacy dispensing experience.
• Sterile processing or IV compounding experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish) - preferred

 

Education/Training/Certifications

• Completed High School (Diploma or GED)
• Must be licensed and registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
• Primary source verification of license and registration is required.

 

Additional Requirements

• Schedule Notes: A flexible schedule will be discussed in the interview. Weekend Availability (5) 8-hour shifts per week- morning, mid, nights

 

  Pay Rate

• $32.00 per hour
