The International Imports Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the shipping of containers and air freight from manufacturers to final destinations. This role helps ensure competitive pricing, timely deliveries, and compliance with international shipping regulations. The ideal candidate will build strong relations with freight forwarders, monitor shipping KPIs, and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency.

Job Description



Every role at Trove Brands is critical to our successful functioning as a whole. Your specific responsibilities as a part of Team Trove will include: 

  • Coordinate bookings with freight forwarders and confirm shipment details (carton quantities, POs, method, destination).
  • Monitor key shipping milestones, resolve shipment exceptions, and provide expedited shipping options when necessary.
  • Process containers in Acumatica ERP, maintaining accurate landed costs and releasing purchase orders.
  • Communicate shipping delays and ETAs to internal teams; maintain reports on transit times and freight rates.
  • Manage documentation for international trade, including Certificates of Origin and Packing Declarations.
  • Audit factory and freight invoices, packing lists, customs entry summaries, and maintain required records.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with freight forwarders and customs brokers, providing performance feedback.
  • Coordinate international distributor shipments and origin container pickups; manage SKU endpoint routing.
  • Forecast container volumes and vet new freight partners for cost and service optimization.

Qualifications

  • Experience in international logistics, shipping, and customs compliance.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Acumatica preferred), customs documentation, and import/export regulations.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage supply chain disruptions effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade regulations.
  • Proven ability to audit and verify invoices, customs records, and trade compliance documentation.
  • Skilled in coordinating shipments, resolving freight exceptions, and ensuring accurate landed costs.
  • Experience conducting business reviews and tracking performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Background in data management and process optimization.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Click-Up, Acumatica, DOMO, and Maxload/TOPS is a plus.
