Annual Bonus: 15% Director Bonus (performance-based)

We are seeking a results-driven Director of Emergency Services to lead a high-performing Emergency Department team in a large acute care setting. The ideal candidate has a strong background in nursing leadership and a proven ability to improve clinical outcomes, staff engagement, and patient satisfaction. This leadership role will be responsible for driving service excellence, managing personnel, overseeing compliance, and ensuring optimal resource utilization.
Leadership: Oversee the Emergency Department, ensuring quality patient care and operational excellence
Staff Development: Mentor, coach, and support staff while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
Performance Improvement: Design and evaluate emergency services programs, monitor compliance, and lead quality initiatives
Patient Experience: Promote a patient-first culture through employee and patient rounding and service-focused initiatives
Operational Management: Identify and resolve departmental challenges, optimize resource use, and uphold care standards
Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, physicians, and cross-functional teams to drive organizational success
Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years of recent experience as a Director in a large acute care Emergency Department
Demonstrated success in staff development, metrics improvement, and operational achievements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Licensure/Certification:
Active RN license or eligibility for Florida licensure
ACLS and PALS/ENPC certifications required
BLS certification required
Size: 34 beds
Daily Volume: ~130 patients/day
Team Size: ~45 FTEs
Trauma Level: Non-trauma facility
