Salary Range: $127,649 – $191,464 (based on experience)

A respected medical center in the Kingwood region is seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead a busy 29-bed adult emergency department. With an average daily volume of 150 patients, this high-acuity ER requires a leader who excels in operations, clinical outcomes, and team development. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Emergency Services and plays a key role in shaping departmental strategy and performance.
Oversee daily operations, strategic growth, and resource management of the Emergency Department
Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
Lead initiatives focused on throughput, clinical outcomes, and patient satisfaction
Monitor regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and infection control standards
Champion staff development through coaching, mentoring, and rounding
Support recruitment, retention, and engagement of clinical and support staff
Lead performance improvement projects and department-wide initiatives
3–5 years of recent emergency department leadership experience (Director or Manager level) in an acute care setting
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business preferred
Active RN license (Texas or multistate compact)
BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications required
