Hyundai's North America Quality Center (NAQC) is looking for an Administrator for the Business Systems Team

The Team:

NAQC is the quality arm for Hyundai Motor Group (HMG)'s North American vehicle models. NAQC seeks to further Hyundai's goal of becoming the leading automotive manufacturer in North America by delivering uncompromising quality and exceeding consumer expectations. 

The Position:

The Data Administrator would be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of NAQC's data and its databases, upholding integrity, performance, and security concerning its systems

• Install, configure, and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
• Set up a data backup system and implement a data restore plan
• Extract and transform data to the proper format, depending on the data analysis needs
• Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing end-to-end problem resolution
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities
• Ensure all database programs meet the company's performance requirements
• Research and suggest new database products, services, and protocols
• Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for database modifications
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Implement and maintain database security (i.e., create and maintain users and roles and assign privileges)
• Occasionally, lift or handle equipment or materials weighing up to 20-30 pounds (e.g., when setting up new hardware or maintaining existing systems)

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information technology, information systems, or a related field of study
• 0-7 years of database management experience
• Proficiency in SQL, ideally with Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience in SQL performance tuning and optimization
• Experience with SQL data replication
• Knowledge of SQL data security features
• Familiarity with SQL backup and recovery methods
• Adept in Microsoft programs, such as Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word
• Availability for urgent system issues that might require on-site presence at non-standard work hours and/or locations, although this is generally infrequent
• Excellent time management, self-management, and organization skills
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail

  • Range of Position: $53,000 (or ≈ $25.48/Hour) ~ $72,000 (or ≈ $34.62/Hour)/Year
