The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Branch Manager role in the Bayfield, CO market. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the branch facility in the community with an emphasis on building the deposit base and cross selling other bank products and services to expand customer relationships. The candidate will be the day-to-day management of the branch retail department to ensure quality customer service is provided in a professional and courteous manner and in accordance with bank and regulatory policies and procedures.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $65K and an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position.)

Bank Branch Manager responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the bank’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Opening and closing the branch and overseeing daily branch sales and service efforts and ensuring achievement of branch sales and service goals.
  • Executing all teller functions as needed.
  • Assisting in and approving customer service and teller transactions as needed.
  • Interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, scheduling, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining, resolving problems, and communicating necessary information on an ongoing basis.
  • Providing administrative support to other retail and lending staff to meet the needs of the customer and assist in the sales efforts of the facility.
  • Ensuring that the Branch is compliant with the Security Program and have the availability to respond to after hour calls which may include but is not limited to ATM Maintenance, Security System Alarms, or any other emergency situations.
  • Performing ongoing training, including compliance and banking regulations, as well as keeping informed of any changes to the regulations.
  • Encouraging individual growth of employees by the development of skills and expertise through personal involvement and example.
  • Making sales calls to existing and prospective customers to increase business and ensure customer retention.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field and three years directly related banking, including supervisory experience OR minimum five years of directly related banking (Teller, Personal Banker, etc.), including supervisory experience.
  • High sales and sales management ability and strong relationship skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through both written and oral formats
  • Strong PC skills, with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
